False teachers are with us, how to sort them out

How to Get There

  • Matthew 7:15 Jesus tells us to watch out for false prophets. They come in sheep's clothing but are really ferocious wolves. A good tree bears good fruit, a bad tree bears good fruit.

Even false teachers/prophets can act the part of godly people-loving, joyful, peaceful, patient, gentle and appear to be have self control.

From 1 John 4:1-6 If a person cannot/will not confess that Jesus is God in the flesh, he probably isn't a Christian, be wary of him. If they can look you in the eye and say Jesus is God in the flesh, he probably is a Christian. Simple? Yes. Too Simple? I don't think so. If you're wondering about someone, ask who Jesus is to them. If they can tell you something like Jesus is God, my savior, God in human form, they're probably on our side.

Things to Watch For

Perhaps it sounds too simple, but it usually works.
