Christ's entrance into Jerusalem was prophesized to the day

How to Get There

Zechariah 9:9 Messiah would enter on a donkey. A conquering king would enter on a large white horse.

Daniel 9:20-27 Most translations read 70 weeks, but the Hebrew is litterally "sevens". It can mean weeks, or months or years. Nothing happened of note 70 weeks or months or years after after the decree to rebuild Jerusalem.

Which decree started the prophecy? Specifically the one in Nehemiah 2:1-10 to rebuild the city. The decree was issued on the first day of Nisan, 445 B.C. Our corresponding date is March 14, 445 B.C.

Math time. Using the Biblical prophetic year of 360 days (see Genesis 7 & 8 and note days vs years), 69 weeks multiplied by 7 multiplied by 630 equals 172.880 days. Add that number to March 14, 445 B.C. and you come up with April 6, 32 A.D. That is one of the primary possibilities for the actual date Jesus rode into Jerusalem.

Some say Daniel 9 was written after Jesus. Could not be. Daniel 9 is in the Septuagent, a Greek transaltion of the ancient Hebrew completed approximately 200 years before Christ.
